Wordless Wednesday – The view at the bottom was a bit different

by , posted on September 1st, 2010 in Wordless Wednesday

So I don’t know how to photoshop anything so I apologize if you now see spots after looking at the sun. I just loved the way the light was filtering through the clouds and how the glider was moving through it. This shot was taken – with my iPhone – above Black’s Beach in La Jolla. Lucky for you, I took it before hiking down to the beach. Which is a nude beach. All we saw on the trip down a gazillion steps were teenagers coming up wearing wetsuits and carrying surfboards. Anyway, at the bottom is black sand. And one older guy who was standing at his towel with his floppy junk hanging out. So just be happy I spared your retinas THAT image. You’re welcome. I’m a real humanitarian.

I’m linking up to Wordless Wednesday at Angry Julie Monday.

great picture. I’ve always wanted to go to a nude beach, and not to look at floppy junks.. I just think it would be cool to not care.

Unfortunately around here, most people at nude beaches are old with floppy junk.

Oh the humanity. My hubby tends to believe the folks at the nude beaches are the ones you don’t want to see nude. Sounds like you had a little taste of that. Great shot BTW!

Ahhhh La Jolla. One of the most beautiful places on the planet, in my honest opinion. Nude beach notwithstanding.
This photo is excellent! I can’t believe you took it with your phone!

Pretty! Reminds me of the day I walked down to Black’s Beach as a freshman at UCSD — fresh off the plane from North Florida — and had a strolling old guy with floppy old junk stop me and ask for the time. Uhhh…half past your naked self. Now keep walking!

Aw, seeing naked people at the beach always cracks me up for some weird reason (I think the imagery of sun burns where they shouldn’t be is the reason why)! Beautiful shot with you iPhone!

I’ve only been to a couple nude beaches (this is one of them), but it seems that it’s always naked old men and floppy junk!

    It’s a beautiful picture :)

Oh nudist beaches were very popular in Europe at one time, but I so dislike them. My father always says and I totally agree, most people look far better with their clothes on than off.
