That was SOME party!

Well.
That was some party I missed.
When I got the email from the awesome Heather from SITS telling me Thursday was going to be my Day, I was beyond excited.
Then I panicked. Because Thursday? We were going to be a day into our vacation. And when I say vacation, I mean we left home and didn’t bring a computer.
I KNOW!
I didn’t want to postpone my day, because you know how when you’re at a restaurant, and you’re too busy gabbing with your friends or dragging your child out from under the table or refereeing fights over the DS to look at the menu, and then the waiter comes, and you’re all, “Can you give us just a minute?” and then as he’s walking away you realize you’re not going to see him again for the next hour? Well, I was terrified if I asked to move my day, it wouldn’t happen for a good long while. Even though I’m sure it would’ve been no problem, and Heather? Is lovely. But it’s SITS! I’d waited a long time and I was so grateful it was my time.
So, being the new tech wizard that I am (NOT), I scheduled the post in advance. And then I wore out my iPhone approving all the comments.
But I didn’t schedule the after-post. Because how could I have known what my SITS day would mean to me? Especially after reading each and every comment, I realize there’s no way I could’ve predicted how much you all moved me.
There is no greater compliment then when you say “I totally relate.” When you leave your own personal story. When you say “this post made me laugh/cry/nod my head/remember when.”
This is why I blog.
This is exactly why I blog.
Maybe you don’t feel so alone. I know I sure don’t.
So thank you.
Thank you for stopping by. For joining my little world and promising to come back. For leaving your thoughts, YOUR stories that made me laugh/cry/nod my head/remember when.
I’m simply overwhelmed with all the amazing women out there. All the amazing blogs. I’m going to try my best to visit all of you.
But first? I’ve got confetti to sweep up and empties to collect – you guys sure know how to party!

I did enjoy both – but it’s good to be home! Poor X is so off-schedule!
