The faces I love – Wordless Wednesday

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2012

It’s tough to be eight and have your mom hug you on the beach. It is SO NOT COOL. Also? I love that kid. And my beautiful girl, too.

hugs

And here’s a gratuitous picture of my other little boy, who still likes to give me “huggy snugs.”

Still am amazed how I can pop out three children without one looking anything like me. And no, we will not be trying for a fourth so I can finally see something of me in one of mine. But thanks for asking.

Wordless Wednesday – Surf and sand

Wednesday, January 4th, 2012

Maybe I’m just an ass.

Whenever East Coasters start complaining about how cold it is, I like to post a picture of the beach. In January.

Montage beach

The truth is, I’d trade spots with you all in a heartbeat, to live back in my homeland. Even if it meant freezing my tuchus off. But since I can’t, since I’m stuck here behind the Orange Curtain, I might as well enjoy the sun.

Right?

Hope this warms you, wherever you are.

Love times two – Wordless Wednesday

Wednesday, October 12th, 2011

Xander was yelling to me, “Take picture, Mommy!”

I am so glad I didn’t wave him off, too busy at the computer. I paid attention. I have become more and more unplugged, as I really get the people who love me most are not on the Internet. They’re right here in front of me.

And that is how I got one of my most favorite shots. It’s like a mirror image of the same person. But it is not. It is two of the boys I love most in the world (Sawyer would’ve made it complete).

Father-son picture

I’m linking up with Angry Julie Monday’s Wordless Wednesday.

Wordless Wednesday – Team spirit

Wednesday, December 29th, 2010

I always wanted a daughter.

I dreamed of all the things we’d do together.

Including wearing cute matching outfits.

Like cute sundresses or something.

I didn’t quite picture this, but it’s absolutely perfect.

GO PATS!!

*please excuse the “Christmas Morning Hair” problem.
**Do you notice how Sage and I look NOTHING alike?
***We got the shirts at Old Navy. Sage was VERY excited!
****Sorry if you’re not a Patriots fan. Just be quiet and gaze at Tom Brady.
