I’m anxious. But it has nothing to do with what to wear and how I’m going to walk in my new shoes (no, not the hoochie ones. I told you I was returning those!) and wondering if anyone will talk to me and how I’m going to attend all the sessions and parties and whether I’ll be jet-lagged and miserable the entire time and OMG what if I do something totally embarrassing like fart in the serenity suite, but not the loud kind, of course, it’ll be one of those silent-but-deadlies and you smile and pretend it wasn’t you even though it so WAS you and then when you leave you wonder if everyone really knew it was you but they’re waiting til you leave to laugh at you. Before and After

I am going to BlogHer in a week. I might have mentioned this.
I am trying to not get all worked up about my wardrobe. Just because I haven’t worn real clothes in a year or five doesn’t mean I can’t find something presentable. Actually, it does, but at least no one can accuse me of trying too hard.
I went shopping the other day, and since I’m attracted to sparkly things, a certain pair of beauties caught my eye as I perused the shoe rack. Let me preface this by saying I haven’t worn heels since 2007, when I got a horrendous neuroma in the ball of my right foot. It basically feels like someone is stabbing you when you put pressure on it. Which made running a marathon or two super fun! (more…)
